Unsure on who should take the penalties in the Pilgrims side, the team hired the services of a speed gun. Five potential penalty takers took turns to see who kicked the ball the hardest. Jones started with an impressive 56 mph and this was followed by Cox who matched Jones pace with 56mph. Then up stepped Marsh, being the smallest and lightest of the five no one considered him to have a chance, but Marsh shocked the footballing world with a hugely impressive 65mph which was only narrowly beaten by Burrows with 66mph. Injured Captain Hill scraped a 52mph shot with his weaker foot. So the conclusion is that Burrows should be taking penalties, however for the perfect penalty accuracy must also be taken into consideration and that is why the obvious choice for Pilgrims penalties is Marsh.
